Turkey kills 16 PKK militants
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- Turkish security forces have killed at least 16 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province, the Governorآ's Office said.
The operation has been launched in Kulp district of the province since Thursday, the office said in a statement on Saturday.
Ammunition, grendades and explosives were seized during the security operation, it added.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and EU, resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. (end) ta.mt
