Jordan- Autumn conditions, showers forecast over weekend

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov.8 (Petra) -- Autumn weather is forecast to continue Wednesday in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.

Daytime temperatures expected in Amman and the northern regions will stand at 24 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 13 and 14 respectively. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will reach 30 degrees sliding to19 at night, the JMD said.

A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, bringing partly cloudy conditions with a chance for scattered showers mainly in the eastern and northern parts of the Kingdom. Relatively cold conditions are will prevail Thursday night with clouds at various altitudes, the JMD further added.

Another slight drop in temperatures is expected on Friday, but similar autumn weather will remain in the highlands and the Badia region, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
