Syria army restored Mayadeen from Islamic State
(MENAFN) Syria's army and allied forces captured the city of Mayadeen from the Islamic State group on Saturday.
In the latest blow to the jihadist group, the Syrian Army along with allied troops managed to take back the city after the occupation of ISIS, state media said.
State media said Syrian troops had killed a large number of ISIS fighters and were now demining the city, in eastern Deir Ezzor province, quoting a military source.
