Qatar- Ministry to mark Teachers' Day

Under the Patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will celebrate Teachers' Day tomorrow at the Qatar National Convention Center.

The event will award 100 of the oldest teachers in Qatar, in recognition of their services and contribution in the educational field.

The State of Qatar annually celebrates this day in line with the World Teachers' Day set by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) held annually on October 5, in recognition of their role as a pillar of the educational process.
