Matt Cummings of AECOM Appointed New ARTBA Chairman
As an advocate for transportation market development, a key focus for Matt will be working with the federal administration to enact a permanent Highway Trust Fund fix that provides the necessary revenue to secure this industry. ARTBA is actively supporting the creation of a realistic and actionable legislative plan that will ensure market stability and growth.
"This is an exciting time for the U.S. transportation industry," said Cummings. "Technology is rapidly transforming our transport capabilities, and new funding mechanisms are opening more possibilities for bothregional and national infrastructure. I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to work with ARTBA on capitalizing the full potential of our industry's future."In addition to the above-outlined priorities, Matt also wants to expand the availability of ARTBA's Online Learning Center safety courses by integrating them with corporate learning management systems of engineering firms across the U.S. AECOM has already incorporated ARTBA's safety courses into their online education platform.
Finally, Matt plans to engage ARTBA officers and directors, the Industry Leader Development Council, and Women Leaders Council for "peer-to-peer" membership development outreach targeting key firms and potential new chapters, and to greater leverage programs aimed at developing the industry's workforce.About ARTBA
