Australian Qantas Airlines registers a net profit of USD1.16b


(MENAFN) The Australian Qantas Airlines announced its profit of AUD 1.53b for the fiscal year ended in June 30. The result was a 57% increase from the previous year, after two year from their loss of AUD2,8b.

The company's annual net profit had increased by more than 84% to AUD1.03b, which largely due to lower fuel prices.

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce stated: "Our transformation program is paying dividends for our shareholders, our customers and our employees."
