Oman rural areas elect consumers grow by 7pct
(MENAFN) The whole number of consumers of Rural Areas Elect Co. (Raeco) increased by 7.4 percent to 33.187 by the end of 2015, from 30.904 customers.
Furthermore, 70 percent of Raeco customers are in local category and consume almost 49 percent of whole energy supplied.
In addition, the total consumption of other categories is almost 17 percent, while the consumption pattern may change in the future.
Rural power generation also grew from 757 GWH in 2014 to 863 GWH, a growth of 14 percent in total power generation.
