Earnings of Rosneft fall 33% in Q2


(MENAFN) Rosneft, the Russian oil giant announced its Q2 profits that dropped by 33% compared to previous year, and that resulted from the low oil prices, the net profit registered was of USD1.3b in Q2.

Russia"s Interfax news agency said that the company's total revenue dropped by 7.8%, falling to USD19.2b.

Rosneft head Igor Sechin stated that: "The main strategic priorities in such difficult conditions remain control over operating and selling, general and administrative costs and raising investment program quality."
