China's GDP to drop by 6% by 2020

(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated on Friday that China's economic growth will be reduced for the next five years and will fall below 6% in 2010.

The IMF expected that China's economy will grow by 6.6% in 2016, and will slow thereafter until 2021, with a growth in 2018 and 2019 by 6.0%.

The IMF stated: "The economy is advancing on many dimensions of rebalancing, particularly switching from industry to services and from investment to consumption. But other aspects are lagging, such as strengthening SOE (state-owned enterprise) and financial governance and containing rapid credit growth."
