Oman to start working on 3 water projects


(MENAFN) Three main water desalination plants, which are under construction and have a capacity of 731.000 cubic meters per day, will meet the growth in demand for potable water in the country.

Moreover, the three projects will be situated in Qurayyat Desalination Plant, Barka IV Desalination Plant and Sohar III Desalination Plant.

Additionally, Qurrayat Desalination Plant will have a capacity to produce 200.000 cubic meters of water per day, while Barka project will have a capacity of 281.000 cubic meters.

Sohar III Desalination Plant has a contracted capacity of 250.000 cubic meters of water per day, utilizing reverse osmosis technology, which will start by 2018.
