US strongly condemns IS attack in Baghdad
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, July 3 (KUNA) -- The US strongly condemned the "heinous terrorist attacks" by the so-called Islamic State in Baghdad that killed over 100 people, National Security Council Spokesperson Ned Price said Sunday.
The attacks targeted "families gathering to break their Ramadan fast and those joining millions around the world in watching the Euro Cup," said Price in a statement.
"These attacks only strengthen our resolve to support Iraqi security forces as they continue to take back territory from (IS), just as we continue to intensify our efforts to root out ISIL''s terrorist network and leaders," he said. (end) ak.tg
