US GAEMS wins contract in Oman

(MENAFN) US-based General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS), has won a contract to order a 180-module Gulftronic electrostatic separator in Oman.

In detail, GA-MES will provide a 180-module Gulftronic electrostatic separator for installation at the Sohar refinery of Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (ORPIC).

Furthermore, Orpic's Sohar refinery old mechanical filtration system, installed in 2008, will be replaced by Gulftronic system to meet the plant's operational needs.

It's worth mentioning that Modern refineries count on residual fluidized catalytic crackers (RFCC) to convert heavy crude oil into gas products.
