Dubai aims to boost renewable energy by 2030
(MENAFN) Dubai advanced a 30 year plan to enhance renewable energy by tendering for advisors for a further phase in developing a main solar power.
Moreover, Dubai Elect and Water Authority (DEWA) will launch Solar Power projects to produce 1,000 megawatts of energy by 2030.
In addition, Dubai's plan aims 7 percent of power generation from renewables by 2020, 25 percent by 2030 and 75 percent by 2050.
Meanwhile, the first project is predicted to be finished by April 2021, while it also targets to have 5,000 MW of generating capacity by 2030.
