DUBAI, 17th May, 2016 (WAM) -- The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, DCCI, in cooperation with the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, DGEP, recently organised a workshop on adopting the newly-introduced 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System.
Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General, and Dr. Ziad Al Kahlout, Quality and Excellence Advisor at DGEP Secretariat-General, conducted the workshop and provided practical steps, responsibilities and tasks in adopting the system.
Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, stressed the importance of the new system of excellence in stimulating innovation, which, he said, aims to improve government performance based on innovative standards geared towards the implementation of the Dubai Plan 2021.
"This also supports the Chamber's efforts in serving the business community in line with Dubai's reputation of providing innovative services, therefore, the organisation started shifting towards the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System in accordance with the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to uplift the performance for achieving the highest standards of quality and sustainable excellence," he said.
Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General at DGEP Secretariat-General, lauded Dubai Chamber for its prompt action in implementing the new system while promoting a culture of excellence in the organisation as well as encouraging employees to unleash their creative capabilities.
He said that soon after the announcement of the excellence system, the DGEP team started taking the necessary steps for its implementation through awareness raising workshops explaining the mechanisms of the new system, as government entities will be evaluated for their pursuit of highest standards of quality and sustainability of excellence in the next session of the award programme.
The 4th Generation of Government Excellence System focuses on results achieved as they set the base for excellence in government performance and services under three key drivers: the realisation of the vision, innovation, and empowerment, to attain the highest satisfaction rankings, and people's satisfaction.
