S. Korea's car exports slip for 5th month in March

(MENAFN) South Korea's vehicle exports declined for five straight months till March on the back of waning demand from emerging markets amid fast-dropping commodity prices.

In more detail, the March figure narrowed from 8.1 percent on-year deterioration in February and an 18.8 percent slump in January, the fastest decrease since October 2010.

Meanwhile, total output by 5 local carmakers led by industry leader Hyundai raised 0.2 percent on-year in March to 415,175 units from 414,313 mainly due to brisk local demand.
