Sri Lanka keen to establish FTA with China


(MENAFN) Sri Lanka is seeking to integrate an ambitious a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China in order to have preferential access to a market of 1.3 billion people.

In accordance, both countries had realized the significant benefits that can be leveraged through the positive relationship between trade and investment.

China has been Sri Lanka's major funder of Foreign Direct Investments, as about 70pct of the substructure schemes in the nation have been funded by China.

Furthermore, Sri Lankan government had also informed China that it was quickening the application of ongoing Chinese project in the island nation.
