Oman- Indian Embassy business event on March 30

The Indian Embassy in association with the Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI) will organise a trade and investment promotion event on March 30 focussing on the health-care food industry information technology mining and minerals and construction and infrastructure sectors.

Various Indian business bodies - Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) and Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) - will put together a delegation of reputed Indian companies to showcase their products and services to Omani business enterprises.

The Indian companies will explore export opportunities business tie-ups investments and project work in Oman an embassy statement said on Monday. Bilateral trade between Oman and India which had grown to US$5.77bn in 2013-14 has since been declining in value. It amounted to US$4.18bn in 2014- 15. Mutual investment between the two countries is estimated at US$7.5bn the press statement added.
