The Photo Shop
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH the German Cultural Centre's Goethe Institut in the Gulf region, Maraya Art Centre is calling upon existing and aspiring photographers as well as photography students to apply for the forthcoming workshop and exhibition, 'Do You Trust Me?'
With a deadline of February 14, selected participants will join a talk on Saturday, April 9 on the subject of photography and ethics, followed by an intensive three-day workshop in which photographers experience the theory and practice of original photographs being manipulated to create and deliver a specific message. Both original and amended works will be shown in a concluding exhibition at Maraya Art Centre to explore the realities of altering photography as a narrative and art form.
To be considered for participation in the workshop and exhibitions, photographers should submit three original works along with insight on the story behind them and how this narrative could be altered to communicate a different reality.
