Saudi- Gynecologist accused of making error
(MENAFN- Arab News) DAWADMI: A citizen in Al-Dawadmi governorate claimed that a female gynaecologist made an error while conducting a Caesarean operation on Wednesday piercing his wife's bladder.
Mitib Al-Habei Al-Hamadi said that his wife was admitted to Al-Dawadmi hospital last Tuesday and underwent a Caesarean operation the next day. During the operation his wife was exposed to a medical error that resulted in her bladder being pierced. Subsequently a tube was fitted to the patient who is still undergoing treatment in hospital.
He called on the Ministry of Health and Al-Dawadmi Hospital to investigate the incident and hold the doctor who caused this error accountable for the harm she inflicted upon his wife. He confirmed that he has filed an official complaint over the phone to the ministry.
Director of Public Relations and Information at Al-Dawadmi hospital Fahad Al-Haweel said that this is the third time that this woman has undergone a Caesarean birth and complications are normal in such cases. He confirmed that the patient's condition is stable and that she is receiving all necessary treatment ahead of her discharge.
