
Islamic State says it carried out attacks on Baghdad mall
BAGHDAD: Islamic State said it was repsonsible for attacks on a shopping complex in eastern Baghdad on Monday that killed at least 18 people a statement circulated online by supporters said.
The hardline Sunni militant group that controls large swathes of territory in northern and western Iraq said four of its fighters had targeted a gathering of “rejectionist heathens” its derogatory term for Shi’ite Muslims.
