UN Security Council Condemns Attack on Saudi Embassy in Tehran
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) New York January 05 (QNA) - The UN Security Council has strongly condemned an attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran and another attack on a Saudi consulate in Mashhad.
The UN Security Council in a statement underlined the principle of the inviolability of diplomatic and consular premises urging host governments to take all appropriate measures to protect those places against any intrusion.
The council also called on Iranian authorities "to protect diplomatic and consular property and personnel and to respect fully their international obligations in this regard". (QNA)
