China faces shortage in LNG supplies
(MENAFN) A shipment of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was delayed by heavy fog, affecting a shortage in north China, based on reports.
In particular, Beijing's authorities has cut the quantity of natural gas intended for heating public structures and ceased the supply to industrial companies for production purposes.
Furthermore, the impacted zones include workplaces, department stores and entertainment venues; however negotiations are taking place to resume normal gas supply as soon as possible.
Considered as one of the world's fastest-growing major economies, let alone being a cradle of civilization, it's not strange that gas is a vital component to ensure its modern way of life.
