Kuwaiti EQUATE's innovative project saves USD14m

(MENAFN) EQUATE Petrochemical firm, Kuwait's first international joint-venture in this industry, got the Innovation Technology Award for achieving a scheme to clean the Ethylene Unit (EU) process equipment in less than 3 days.

Additionally, the groundbreaking project is proudly the first of its kind accomplishment, as it reached savings of over USD14 million while following world-class industrial practices, particularly in the Environment and health segments.

In more detail, the EU cleaning was basically based on a Six Sigma methodology, which is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement to bring the finest possible results while minimizing cost, time and effort.
