UAE's Emirates airline, Malaysia Airlines sign vital deal

(MENAFN) Malaysia Airlines has inked an agreement to enlarge a partnership with Emirates airline, which will allow Malaysia customers to book routes to Europe with Emirates, based on recent reports.

Accordingly, Emirates airline's passengers will benefit as Malaysia will offer them connections within the Asia Pacific region, but it looks like it will benefit Malaysia Airlines even more.

Basically, Malaysia will avoid making losses on routes to Europe because it would stop flying to Amsterdam and Paris with its planes and instead book customers onto flights operated by Emirates.

"People will now buy tickets of Malaysia Airlines to reach these final destinations so we will take back market share in terms of ticket sales," stated Malaysia Airlines' Chief executive officer.
