(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)John Peters managing director of Strategic Minerals (LON:SML) says the firm's Tatu coal mine in New Zealand has competitive advantages over rival operations in the country. His comments come after the closure of a nearby competitor Huntly East also on New Zealand's North Island which sold coal with similar characteristics to Tatu's. 'We're operating a new mine at ground level which gives us lower costs and allows us to meet demand from with the country and compete with cheap Indonesian imports" Peters tells Proactive.
