Egyptian mobile users fall by 0.8 percent in July


(MENAFN) Overall mobile users in Egypt decreased in July to 94.3 million users from 95 million reported in June, reflecting a 0.8 percent drop, as data showed.

However, Internet users totaled 32.2 million users in July, where mobile Internet took the biggest share by 24.7 million users, a climb of 2.6 percent from June.

Cairo attained the prime share of Internet users with about 46 percent, the Delta came in second with 26 percent, followed by Alexandria with roughly 12 percent.

On a different note, the number of landline subscribers naturally carried on to deteriorate to touch 6.3 million users in July from 6.6 million users in June.
