India allocates USD120b to develop railways
(MENAFN) The Indian government is preparing to invest USD120 billion for developing its state-owned railways in the next five years.
The minister of Railways has insisted that the investments in railways will be greater in the future stressing on India's skilled manpower and large market.
It's critical in order to succeed to develop indigenous cost-effective systems having global standards suitable for Indian Railways, according to the minister.
"This requires integrated approach involving use of cost effective advanced technology and properly trained manpower," he said.
