Oman- Failed robbery bid at money exchange

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A dramatic robbery bid at the Al Jadeed Exchange in Al Khuwayr on Monday evening came to a nought when the lone robber fled the scene after his threats failed to work on the firm's employees. 

At around 8pm a masked man entered the exchange premises brandishing a knife and demanded employees to hand over cash.

When they refused he burst a firecracker saying it was a bomb. Chaos ensued among customers at the sound of the cracker many of whom ran out fearing their safety. He stepped out and lit another cracker saying that he was also carrying a gun and then escaped.

Footage of the robbery bid has been captured on CCTV. The ROP has launched a manhunt.
