Indonesia's coal exports down 18 percent in H1
(MENAFN) Official said that exports of coal from Indonesia saw a sharp decline by 18 percent in the first six months of the year, reaching 186.8 million tons on weakening global economy reflecting on demand.
Indonesia's coal outputs in the January-July period also decreased by 15 percent to 232.9 tons. As much as 46.1 million tons of the total period's production was sold in domestic market, said the official.
"The exports of coal scale down significantly by 18 percent (at first seven months). The decline is because of weakening of global demand," coal enterprises director at energy and mines ministry said.
