Canada, Ukraine sign free trade agreement
(MENAFN) Canada and Ukraine announced signing a free trade agreement, which is projected to help job creation and provide improved market access for exports, Xinhua reported.
The Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) was signed in Chelsea, Canada afternoon, witnessed by Canadian Prime Minister and his Ukrainian counterpart.
The deal came a few hours after the Canadian prime minister announced that the two countries have successfully concluded the negotiations of the agreement and a few weeks after his visit to Ukraine.
Once the agreement enters into force, Canada and Ukraine will immediately eliminate duties on 99.9 percent and 86 percent of respective current imports, thereby benefiting exporters and consumers.
