Egypt receives USD843m in investments from UAE in Q1


(MENAFN) Egypt received a total of USD843 million in investments from the UAE in the first quarter of the year, marking a gigantic contribution of 62.6 percent from the UAE of the total Gulf investments, Amwal Alghad reported.

The UAE increased its investments in Egypt by 6 folds from USD131 million investments logged by the end of 2014, up to USD843 million by the end of the first quarter, according to data issued by Egypt's Central Bank (CBE).

The total investments of Gulf States in Egypt recorded USD1.346 billion at the end of March 2015 compared to USD310 million at the end of 2014, marking USD1.036 billion increase.
