S. Korea's 2015 growth forecast revised down to 2.7 percent
(MENAFN) A South Korean think tank revised down the country's economic growth forecast for 2015, citing weak exports accompanied with the outbreak if MERS, Yonhap News reported.
The Korea Economic Research Institute said it has cut 2015's economic growth projection to 2.7 percent, dropping form the 3.4 percent previously forecast in March.
The figure is lower than the 33.1 percent estimated by the South Korean government, in line with a forecast made by the Bank of Korea in April, the think tank said.
Asia's fourth-largest economy's current account surplus is projected to post an all-time high of USD105.4 billion despite falling exports, helped by the falling imports.
