UN, GCC conclude discussions on Yemen
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon concluded discussions on crisis in Yemen Sunday ahead of Yemeni negotiations, set to take place tomorrow.
The two sides did not make press statements after their meeting, in which high-level diplomats from Turkey, EU, and US took part.
Meanwhile, UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmad announced that preliminary comprehensive consultations on Yemen, sponsored by the UN, is to be among Yemeni political parties, including the General People's Congress and its allies, Houthis, the Joint Meeting Parties and its partners, and the Southern Movement.
