Oman- Sultanate and Turkmenistan hold political consultations
The Omani side was chaired by H E Ahmed bin Yousef al Harthy Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) while the Turkmen side was led by their Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Both countries reviewed the existing relations and discussed ways to improve them further to serve joint interests.
They also exchanged views on regional and international issues and ways to resolve them. The session was attended by Abdullah bin Hamad al Riyami acting head of the office of Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs in MoFA Yahya bin Yaaqoub al Badawi head of the Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan offices in MoFA and officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the day H E Harthy also met Rashid Meredov Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan. They discussed the existing bilateral relations and touched on several regional and international issues and matters of common concern.
