Taleban face terror heat: 10 beheaded by Daesh

(MENAFN- Arab News) KABUL: The Daesh militants beheaded 10 Taleban militants recently in Afghanistan in an apparent rivalry among the militant groups.
According to agency reports the Daesh fighters ambushed a convoy of Taleban militants in Nangarhar province and beheaded the captured men later.
The 201st Selab Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA) confirmed to Khaama Press that the beheading took place on Wednesday.
According to New York Times for the past several months local Afghan fighters claiming allegiance to Daesh leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi have been attacking veteran Taleban units; and in some places the Daesh loyalists have even completely taken over Taleban-held territories.
The NYT report noted that Daesh has deployed the same strategy it used in Syria to deminish the influence of Al-Qaeda and other fighters. Daesh in Afghanistan has been 'aggressively' attacking the Taleban and has been able to make significant gains in the country.
A key Taleban commander Maulvi Abbas was recently taken hostage by Daesh who now demand that the Taleban fighters join forces with the Daesh.
In January reports claimed that several influential former Taleban leaders joined the deviant group.
