KSA- 4 executed on murder drug trafficking charges


(MENAFN- Arab News) Riyadh: A Saudi citizen was executed in the Eastern Province after having been convicted of murdering his wife local media said.
Awadh bin Ali Al-Rashidi was convicted of stabbing his wife Mariam bint Eid al-Rashidi to death with a knife to her neck a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said.
According to the ministry's statement the executed was earlier involved in other crimes which were mostly related to drugs and liquor.
In a related development a Syrian national was executed for having been involved in smuggling large quantities of banned amphetamine capsules.
The Syrian Mohamed Abdulhadi Ahmed was executed in the Jouf region the ministry said in another statement.
In the Tabuk region two Saudi drug traffickers were also executed for jointly smuggling and distributing drugs in the Kingdom.
The two were Awadh bin Awwad Al-Atwi and Musallam bin Eid al-Qarani the Ministry of Interior said.
