How United Services holds blood donation campaign
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) How United Services, in co-operation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), recently organised a blood donation campaign at its head office in United Tower, Al Sadd.
The initiative, held under the slogan "Donate Blood, Save a Life", aimed to further raise awareness on the importance of blood donation as a life-saving exercise that would benefit the entire community and also support restocking the hospital's blood bank.
The campaign was supported by employees from various departments, highlighting their commitment to the cause. Staff from HMC was present to ensure that the participating donors were pre-screened to meet strict donor criteria in line with international standards.
In a statement, How United Services said it was pleased to partner with HMC in the campaign and hoped it would provide a platform for future initiatives with the corporation.
Yousuf Jassim al-Darwish, chairman of Al Darwish United Co and How United Services, a joint venture company with Interserve of the UK locally represented by managing director Andy Beaney, highlighted the success of the campaign and its role in raising awareness about the importance of blood donation, its positive impact on public health as well as the responsibility towards the community.
The campaign witnessed the participation of employees and others, who gathered in large numbers to donate blood in recognition of the importance of the initiative. the statement adds.
