Royal Oman Police News: Four held with large drugs haul

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A team from the North Batinah Police Command has arrested four Asians from Sohar with a huge haul of drugs and psychotropic substances.

They have been booked for drug possession and trafficking and linked to an international drug smuggling ring. The arrests were made following a raid on their residence. As many as 9288 psychotropic pills along with 15 packets of cannabis weighing around 15kg and four bags of heroin were seized.

Over 10000 psychotropic tablets seized at Muscat airport in March.

Customs officials at the Muscat International Airport seized more than 10000 tablets of psychotropic drugs during March. The haul included 4244 Tramadol 2000 Diazepam 958 Librazolam and 290 Bromazepam tablets.
