Palestinian vehicles enter Jerusalem for first time in 15 years
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation authorities Tuesday allowed Palestinian vehicles to enter Jerusalem for the first time in 15 years.
A statement of the Israeli coordinator of government activities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Yoav Mordechai, said that more than 100 Palestinian doctors working in Israeli hospitals and living in Bethlehem and Hebron districts were permitted to enter Jerusalem in private vehicles holding Palestinian license plates.
After a month or two, Israeli authorities will allow Palestinian men over 55 and women over 50 to enter Jerusalem without permits, the Israeli official said.
The next phase will also allow Palestinian businessmen to move freely, he added.
