Saudi- Retirement is beginning of a new life: Prince Mohammed


(MENAFN- Arab News) Retirement from a job is actually the beginning of a new life as an expert whose efforts and expertise help better serve society and the country in the larger interest said Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif second deputy premier and minister of interior.
He was speaking at a ceremony to honor retired employees of the Ministry of Interior at the Officers' Club in Riyadh on Monday.
'Retirement is not the end of the job and the service of an employee at the Ministry of Interior does not end but he will remain an expert and a key security man who keeps a watchful eye on the security of the Kingdom and advises his fellows in the field wishing them every success in serving the religion the king and the homeland' he said.
Since the deputy crown prince could not attend the ceremony in person Deputy Interior Minister Abdul Rahman Al-Rubaiaan attended the ceremony and read his message.
Starting with the welcome address the deputy minister thanked the retirees who have spent their lives in serving the homeland and citizens.
The minister also applauded them praising the efforts they have made during the years of their service that ensured the safety security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
On life after retirement he pointed out that help is frequently sought saying this can be attained with help of retirees who know how to fill their free time with useful things and put their expertise to good use in a solid bid to remain active and productive members of society.
Senior civil and military officials at the Ministry of Interior including Undersecretary Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Salem also attended the ceremony.
Earlier the ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an.
Abdul Aziz bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi delivered a speech on behalf of the retirees in which he expressed thanks from the retired employees to the interior minister for patronizing the ceremony.
Al-Ghamdi noted that the ceremony clearly reflects the leadership's keenness to honor the state's retired employees and use their expertise when required.
