UAE to grant USD2b loan to Croatia
(MENAFN) Croatia is considering a USD2 billion loan from the UAE to help financing its current debt and reestablishing its collapsed economy, Arabian Business reported.
Successive governments have been ignoring market reforms, increasing spending and debt since the year of 2000, leaving the country now forecast to be in need for an IMF aid programme.
"There have been some contacts, but we're still way too far away from any final decision. There will certainly be more talks before any deal takes place," an undisclosed government source said in a statement.
