Dubai hotel revenues hit USD6.5b in 2014


(MENAFN) Dubai's hotels and hotel apartments posted an increase in guest nights in 2014, rising by 7.4 percent from 41.58 million in 2013 to 44.66 million in 2014. The average length of stay increased from 3.78 days to 3.84 days, Arabian Business reported.

Dubai hospitality sector received 11,629,578 guests in 2014, a growth of 5.6 percent on 2013's total while revenues soared by 10 percent.

Revenues for hoteliers and hotel apartment operators registered remarkable increase, with total revenues of USD6.5billion for 2014, up 9.8 percent from USD5.93 billion in 2013. Room revenues grew by 12 percent annually and F&B and other revenues increased by 6.1 percent annually.
