(MENAFN- Arab News) The first Advanced Cable Middle East Conference with Sipchem as its platinum sponsor was held in Abu Dhabi for two days from Feb. 2.

Sipchem which hosted the gala dinner on Day-1 of the conference also organized an exhibition booth that was visited by scores of delegates interacting with representatives of Gulf Advanced Cable Insulation Company (GACI) marketing R&D and PR.

Combining decades of industry knowledge Sipchem and Hanwha Chemical formed a joint venture company named Gulf Advanced Cable Insulation (GACI) which produces cross-linkable polyethylene (XLPE) and semi-conductive compound for medium voltage under the technology licence of Hanwha Chemical a major player in the wire and cable industry with over 30 years of experience.

Together the joint venture represents the best of both partners strongly positioned to supply customers with high quality products on time and to exact specifications.

The conference was attended by over 120 senior executives from across the Middle East and global wire and cable supply chain which provided the delegates with an opportunity to network share ideas and to develop new business relationships.

Patrick Benavides polymers process manager presented a paper Sipchem's approach for advanced wire and cable applications covering a brief introduction of Sipchem business wire and cable industry in the Middle East in general and Sipchem's products in particular. The presentation was reported to have been well appreciated by the delegates.
