Saudi's SAFCO finishes work on plant
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co. (SAFCO), a unit of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), announced it has completed mechanical and construction work on a new urea plant at its industrial complex in Jubail, Arab News reported.
The company said that it will now begin trial operations, which will now take up to three months, before the project starts up commercially, with annual production capacity estimated to reach 1.1 million of tons of urea.
The plant was originally scheduled to start up during the July-September period of this year, but then was delayed due to construction work falling behind the original timetable.
