Gulf media commend king for bringing Qatar Egypt together
(MENAFN- Arab News) The Gulf Press Federation has welcomed the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to settle the dispute between Egypt and Qatar.
'If this initiative succeeds it will certainly serve the interests of the two brotherly countries boost cooperation and deepen Arab solidarity to tackle threats and challenges faced by the Ummah currently' Turki bin Abdullah Al-Sudairy president of the federation said recently.
Al-Sudairy said Arab political cultural and media leaders support and appreciate King Abdullah's efforts which is a continuation of his past initiatives to unify the Arab world.
He said the federation's members would respond positively to his call for all intellectuals and those working in the media to support the process. 'We in the federation will strive to do what we can to serve the laudable efforts of this great initiative' he said.
Al-Sudairy appealed to his colleagues in the media and intellectuals to support plans that would bolster the unity of Arab countries and ensure they bury their differences.
