S. Korea's economic growth shrinks in Oct
(MENAFN) The latest economic indicators show that South Korea's economic growth is gradually slowing down as domestic demand remains weak and exports decline, QNA reported.
The Korea Development Institute (KDI) said that "Economic activity has become weaker, indicating the gradual slowdown in Korea's economic growth".
It also said that Domestic demand indicators have been weak and exports declined, marking a slowdown in aggregate demand. It is unusual for the KDI to describe a "slowdown" in economic growth in the report, which is based on analysis of the latest major indicators.
The country's industrial output shrank 1.6 percent in October from a month earlier. Exports also declined 1.9 percent in November from a year earlier.
