India, Iran to boost transportation cooperation


(MENAFN) Iranian Roads and Urban Development Minister and Indian counterpart are planning to boost Tehran-New Delhi cooperation in the transportation sector, Iran Daily reported.

The Indian minister said that the two countries can undertake joint projects which can be useful to both sides, local media reported.

Transit, shipping and transportation of goods and passengers can be among the area of cooperation, he said, adding Iran and India are two major economic powers.

"We are trying to remove existing obstacles in the way of promotion of bilateral ties and move towards serving mutual interests," he said.
