UAE's Air Arabia considers expanding in Morocco

(MENAFN) UAE's Air Arabia said it is considering plans to expand its Moroccan operations by increasing the number of points in Europe the carrier serves from Casablanca, Gulf News reported.

Air Arabia Morocco, which is a joint-venture subsidiary, currently flies to more than 20 destinations predominantly in Europe, after the carrier increased the number of its aircrafts in its Moroccan fleet last year from three to five.

"We added more for summer and now we are planning to see what more they need. Our vision is to make that hub bigger," Sharjah based Air Arabia's Group Chief Executive said.

Air Arabia also said the Group is very optimistic about Egypt due to the country's recent stability after years of political turmoil, and the carrier, which has a joint-venture subsidiary based in Alexandria, said that if things continue to improve then they might consider expanding their presence there as well.
