Telefonica Germany to cut 1,600 jobs
(MENAFN) German media reported that German telecommunication company Telefonica Germany announced cutting 1,600 jobs in the upcoming years, Xinhua reported.
The company's offices located in Dusseldorf and Munich will be mainly affected by the cut, German news agency dpa cited sources of the company as reporting.
Telefonica Germany, which now has altogether 9,100 jobs, has become the biggest mobile service provider in Germany after the takeover of another mobile service provider E-Plus a few weeks ago.
Currently, there are about 2,600 employees in its headquarters in Munich, and another 1,000 employees are working in Dusseldorf, the base of E-Plus.
