Yemeni Security Official Killed South of Sana'a


A Yemeni security official was killed today when two unidentified gunmen opened fire at him governorate of Dhamar, south of the capital Sanaa.

An official security source said in the governorate said in a statement that unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle intercepted Lt. Colonel Faraa Al Bueithi, Director of Public Relations of the Security Department and opened fire at him near a popular markets in downtown Sana'a, killing himself instantly." He said security forces started an investigation into the incident to find out the identity of the gunmen in order to arrest them and bring them to justice.

In a related development, three Yemeni soldiers were wounded today in an attack on a military patrols in Al Dhali governorate in southern Yemen.
